LSLO MEMBER OF THE WEEK
Our Member of the Week goes to no other than our Community Service Chair, Christine Sanchez! @Christine is a sophomore Writing and Rhetoric major with a concentration in Journalism. She’s originally from Zapata, TX (RGV FOR LIFE!) Her ultimate hobby is listening to podcasts. Quick recommendation: Two podcasts she love are My Favorite Murder and Say More, both are hosted by women and both are hilarious. What Christine loves about St. Ed’s “is that the school equips students with all of the tools they need to succeed. A lot of the writing professors have published books or academic research, and it's really cool and inspiring to be taught or advised by them directly. It makes me feel like I can be that successful in my career too.” Christine says, “For me, being Latina means celebrating my culture and lifting up my fellow Latinxs in any way I can. I think it's important to support my community so that we can overcome the obstacles we face together."
